Tables, Triggers & Scratch Offs

Version1.3.0
FeaturesBug Fixes

Four new blocks headline this release: Custom Table for building any table you can imagine, Variable Media and Variable Text for media that changes as visitors interact with your page, and Scratch Off for scratch-to-reveal email popups. Plus a Split Hero video option, Bento Grid badges, deeper Email Popup button controls, and a long run of fixes across offers, the cart drawer, the product gallery and variant selection.

Features

  • New block — Custom Table. An extremely versatile block that builds practically any kind of table, comparison tables included. Columns, rows, groups, cells and images are all their own blocks, so you shape the table exactly how you want it.
  • New block — Variable Media. Shows an image or video that changes based on a trigger — a collapsible row, a reveal card, a timeline, or just text.
  • New block — Variable Text. The text-side companion to Variable Media. Drop it anywhere and use it as the trigger that swaps the media alongside it.
  • New block — Scratch Off. Build the extremely popular and high-performing scratch-off email popup, where visitors scratch a panel to reveal their offer.
  • New block — Icon. A standalone icon block for when you want an icon on its own rather than attached to text.
  • Split Hero now takes a video. Pick image or video for the media side, with muted autoplay, looping, an optional thumbnail, and lazy loading so it never slows the page down.
  • Bento Grid badges. Each Bento Item can carry its own badge text and color, while the grid controls the style (soft, outline or filled), position (top left, top right, or above the heading), text size per viewport, and corner rounding.
  • Bento Grid image fit. Choose crop-to-fill or fit-the-whole-image, with an inset and an empty-space color, set on the grid and overridable per item. There's also an editor-only overlay that shows each image area's exact pixel size, so you know what to export.
  • Email Popup button controls. The Continue and Decline buttons and the popup's submit button now take vertical and horizontal padding and a text weight, and the Continue button's full-width setting is now separate for desktop and mobile.
  • Quantity selector and Offers now work together. When a shopper raises the quantity on the sticky add-to-cart bar, the Offers block picks the tier that quantity qualifies for and keeps any leftover units as extras. Price, subtotal and buy-button text all follow the real total.
  • Lock an Offer to a single option. The Offer block's variant lock now accepts a single value like "Large", which locks just that option while the offer keeps following the buyer's other selections. Tiers that don't exist for the picked combination hide themselves instead of showing the wrong price.
  • Subscription lock hint in the editor. Turning on "Lock to Subscription plan" briefly shows which plan is actually locked, since the plan order in your subscription app may not match what you expect. Toggle the setting to see it again.
  • Faster icon font. A new Performance section in theme settings lets you load a single Google icon weight instead of all of them, cutting the icon font by around 60%.
  • Desktop-only line breaks. Type [dbr] in a Heading to break the line on desktop only, matching the existing [mbr] for mobile.
  • Emoji library refreshed. Every recently added emoji is now available through our emoji delivery system.
  • Smaller additions. Before/After is now allowed inside a Tab, and the Email Popup fullscreen layout's content edge gap goes much further than before.

Bug Fixes

  • Offers in a custom buy box no longer show a variant picker for products that have no variants, and their compare-at pricing now displays correctly.
  • Subscription locks on single-quantity offers now apply properly instead of falling back to whatever plan the Subscriptions block had selected.
  • Featured Collection now respects right-to-left languages.
  • Buy Buttons in a different section from a Gift now add the gift to the cart, instead of only working when both sat in the same section.
  • Unlicensed-key markup no longer appears in the page source on stores with a valid license.
  • Cart drawer quantity and remove buttons keep working alongside cart apps that clone or intercept them, so a quantity click can no longer be turned into an add-to-cart or a jump to the cart page.
  • Percentage discounts are now rounded once on the total rather than on each line, so multi-item offers no longer land a cent or two off.
  • Per-unit prices no longer round up past the real total, so the individual prices always add back up to what's charged.
  • Product gallery now keeps a variant's own featured image visible when filtering images by option, and no longer duplicates slides or jumps to the wrong one when the gallery loops.
  • Option combinations that have no variant now jump to the closest matching variant instead of dead-ending on "Unavailable" — picking a color that isn't stocked in your current size just moves you to a size that has it.
  • Featured Gift no longer treats the gift itself as the qualifying product when both sit in the same block area.
  • Marquee inside a padded column or card now bleeds to the container's edge as intended.
